Pros:
"These pants do it all! Hiking, running and cycling. These pant can be worn as a shell with tights underneath and riding shorts for the needed padding while cycling. There is easy movement and did I mention they are WATERPROOF!
They don't breath well so with temps above 50 degrees and a lot of excertion you will tend to have that sauna effect in your pants. Thats the only minus."
Pros:
"I commute to work and also bike on the weekends. Have biked for over 20 years -- mainly in Chicago. And these pants are great -- they breath and cut the wind. And Chicago can get truly windy. They're really good fall weather pants and I also anticipate that they will be great for the winter as well, though I usually have to add a second pair of pants -- usually Polartec - though I am going to try the Novara Headwind bike pants also this winter, along with the Novara Stratos Rain pants. Will write another review during the winter.

Pros:
"I commute year around to work and school on my bike and these are the best rain pants for your dollar I have ever purchased. Easy to shake the water off when I get to school and put them in a large zip lock bag to keep my books dry. Never feels muggy when I take them out.
The elastic cuffs do a great job of keeping the pants away from the chain and damage free. I am a very happy customer."
Pros:
"I got these w/the jacket for cycling in rain. Used them once in a pinch for SF Bay sailing, and hey! They are great! Nice and lightweight for warm-weather sailing, even wet and wild sportboat sailing in big wind and swells."

"I used these almost every day on a 14-day bike trip from Milwaukee to Brooklyn in November. I encountered pouring rain for days straight - turned blizzard in the Appalacians and they never let me down. First bought the Large, then returned for Medium as large bunched up near ankles. I am 5'11" 150 lbs and have generally where 32x32 pants. I now bring these with me on my 10-20 mile daily commute anytime there is a chance for rain in the forecast. These in combination with the Stratos jacket will allow you to enjoy riding in the rain. Also, when I arrive at my destination, I shake these pants out, no matter how drenched, and they are dry within minutes."
